Sms Patch Management Pack

Is this really unknown information? Is nobody else having problems with this MP? Or is it just that this question has been answered a 1000 times before? I did a search of the forums. Did not find anything. My setup: SCCM x64 server 2008 SCCM R2 64 bits SCOM agent installed by discovery (4 servers: site server, sql server, role server, wsus server. All with 64 bit agents) SCOM x64 server 2008 SCOM R2 After installing the SCCM management pack in my SCOM R2 installation with 64 bits agent there is no monitoring of my SCCM installation.

I tried installing the 32 bit scom agent manually but the management pack still did not work. Right now im running with 64 bit agents because after reading the technet article above I understood that the old problem with 32 bit SCCM is solved in R2. I hope someone can help or even give a suggestion to what the problem is. This is also my first installation of a management pack so its possible i have made some beginner mistake.

Hi, Well it depends. The issue was that when running on ConfigMgr on a 64-bit OS it wasn't properly monitored because ConfigMgr is a 32-bit native applications and so no performance counters were available. Now with ConfigMgr SP2 (currently Release Candidate) the performance counters are delivered. So when running your ConfigMgr server on a 64-bit OS you can install the 64-bit SCOM agent use ConfigMgr SP2 and the new Management Pack.

When running ConfigMgr on 32-bit OS you need the 32-bit SCOM agent and no additional actions are required. Please mark posts as Answered if appropriate. I still have this issue also.

I have SCCM SP2/R2 and SCOM R2 and I have downloaded the latest MP for SCCM. I have followed the install guide here: But still my MP will not detect any of the site servers. My Site Hierarchy State says not monitored, computer state is full of machines and my Site State is empty. I have followed all the proper guides so im kinda confused as to what the problem is. All SCOM and SCCM servers are in the same domain. Can anyone help? Thanks for the replies guys:) Anyway; I defined the enviroment variable SMSINSTALLDIRPATH as E: SCCM as that is the installation directory and disk for my SCCM installation on the site server.

Now when I run%SMSINSTALLDIRPATH% it takes me directly to the sccm installation directory. It is defined as a system variable. But I still have the same errors as reported above. There are 10 of them that repeat every 5 minutes.

Also I have noticed that under 'ConfigMgr Server State' in scom monitoring the servers that are listed are only my site server and my role server(dp,mp,psp, etc); my sql server is not showing up here. Afaik the sql server should be listed here?
