It's 2018, and as my iPod died, I realized it may be time to let the mentality of having one die with it. Spotify makes that easy. With a beautiful interface, properly priced premium features, streaming quality, and ease of use, it's a total winner. I use it all the time to listen to what I want to hear, not what the radio tells wants me to hear. Seemingly endless opportunity for new music, the classics, or a mix of both. Oh, and access is on EVERY internet connected device. Goodbye iPod, hello Spotify!
I used to love this app but now I'm switching back to Pandora. It used to be awesome.

When I would connect it to my PS4 it would let me play whatever I wanted and when I was on my phone it would shuffle the songs which was fine. But now it won't let me choose how I want my songs shuffled, I can't choose what I want on PS4, and now it says 'we have your playlist on shuffle' but it's not shuffling the playlist at all. It's just going down the list of songs one by one in the order I added them to the list. So I could be listening to the same artist for hours instead of it bouncing around to different songs like it used to do.
If they don't fix it I'm not listening with Spotify anymore. A great music app and I still love it, but I usually play playlist on shuffle and recently I notice that shuffle play the least played song. I don't mind that but I like my shuffle to be a regular shuffle all, please consider adding options or something. And I use Podcast feature rather often, but the info about which podcast episode I've listened are not synchronized across devices. And that info is non-existent on android app.

And that info is non-existent on android app. But overall I like the app and the great services Spotify provided. Having a universe of music at your fingertips is great. But it can also cheapen the experience of it. I have no qualms with the mechanics of Spotify.
I really like that they've added Hulu to the student mix:) very cool. I just wish they had a sick ass visualizer by now that worked in always on display mode. If they had that or some kind of plug in on the side that could handle it, Spotify would rule my phone and thus, my world. I'd also like to say that the daily mix is pretty much spot on and I've discovered a lot of wonderful new music because of it. The app logged out in offline mode and now can't log in. Say go online for log in, but I do and still saying the same that I'm offline. And if have to reinstall and download again all my music as I'm reading in others reviews I won't pay again premium for sure because the issue is quite easy to fix.
Just take a look to the flow diagram of that section of the programming. You will see easily the issue and redefining the flow diagram and then programming will be solved.
And if not send it to me the flow diagram and the code that I will fix it that for something I'm Engineer in Sound and Image in Telecommunication. It really sucks that musicians don't make more than a few cents a listen. I mean how hard these people work just to make one 4 minute song and you have these people just ripping Through song after song without a single care for the artist.

Some artists are fine with it but I still think k they should be compensated better. Although I do like the addition of sale items on the artist page, it definitely makes a difference.
If you like the music, then don't just listen. Buy their stuff, and support creativity.
Loved Spotify since before it came to the US. Unfortunately it has lost two stars with me because of one issue. The development team will not address nearly 700k users who have hit Spotifys arbitrary cap on My Music. It's the songs you save to find later, not download (thats limited to 3k). Your songs are limited to 10k, which sounds like a lot; but when you've been using the service daily for years, eventually you will hit it. Apple music and Google Play music limit at 100k. Please fix this issue or I will probably have to switch music services in order to continue exploring the new music and playlist you offer!

Otherwise it is a great service, if somewhat limited in sorting options and saving music. I am a premium user and I love my Spotify. The app functions smoothly and it is nice to be able to listen to my music in the car without eating up my data.
However, depending on the quality that you download songs with, it potentially takes up a ton of storage. I've pretty much reached the maximum download limit (which I dislike, but oh well) of 3333 songs on a device and it's taking up around 20gigs of storage using the extreme download quality. The only big issues I have with the app are not being able to rearrange my playlists on Android like I can do on Apple or PC, and also the per device download limit.
The limit is extremely high, don't get me wrong, but over my years of membership I have accumulated a vast collection of music, and now in order to add more music I have to get rid of some. I love Spotify, and if I could I would gladly pay for premium, but one thing I've noticed since I unsubscribed from premium is how much control you don't have. I don't mind the ads, but what bothers me is how on the mobile app you cannot choose what songs you want to listen to, and forget about looping playlists because after a while it just plays 'recomended' songs. This isn't an issue on any other platform and it frustrates me.
I am tempted to delete it off my phone because it almost isn't even worth it. I shouldn't have to pay to pick what songs I want to listen to. Make that a base app feature again and I will gladly give it 5 stars.
